Becoming a Catholic

The Rite for Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which adults are fully initiated into the Catholic faith community. The RCIA is a conversion journey, a call to move to a new way of being who we are. While it is specifically designed for the un-baptized, it is also a way for both baptized Christians and baptized un-catechized Catholics who want to become active Catholics. As well, persons baptized in other Christian churches who wish to join the Catholic community may be received into full communion with the Catholic Church.

The process begins prior to Advent and extends to Pentecost. Meetings are held weekly on Monday evenings in a Parish meeting room, from 7-8:30 pm. Those who have an interest in the process are invited to call the secretary at 514-695-7100 or Deacon Phil at 514-695-3123.
